Coed-y-Mwstwr Hotel Wedding – Spring Wedding In The Folly

Coed-y-Mwstwr Hotel is a beautiful Victorian mansion in a leafy, wooded hillside in Bridgend, Mid Glamorgan. Angela and Kieran had a Spring wedding in May on a warm sunny day surrounded by their nearest and dearest.

Angela works at Coed-y-Mwstwr so it felt very personal and emotional for both her and her colleagues on the day!

The Folly

The ceremony took place in the new Folly which is situated to the side of the hotel. Angela and Kieran were actually the first couple to get married in here! It was beautifully decorated with natural florals and the light flooded the space beautifully.

It felt such a happy atmosphere as the guests started to arrive and the solo guitarist Jordan Markes began to play. Angela walked down the aisle on the arm of her father, and as soon as he saw her Kieran welled up! I’ve said it before, I do love a crying groom! The ceremony was both emotional and happy, Angela had such sweet nervous giggles as she said her vows! Once they had signed the register they walked out to drinks and welsh cakes on the lawn! I always find after the ceremony, that everyone relaxes and the celebrations begin!

The Photographs

One of the things I love about Coed-y-Mwstwr Hotel, is the variety of places for photographs. I always begin with the group photographs and today I took some outside the front of the hotel as the wisteria was still in bloom and looked so beautiful! I also always like to take group photos at Coed-y-Mwstwr with the trees and sky behind them. The depth of field and softness I get is just gorgeous! The couple photographs were then taken in a few different places around the hotel grounds. The light was perfect and Angela and Kieran were so brilliant to photograph! They were so much fun and just gorgeous together. I always aim to make couples feel relaxed and this always gives the most natural photographs. Angela and Kieran certainly felt at ease during their shoot, they laughed together non-stop!

Here are some of my favourites from their day.
