A couple shoot is a great way to get the feel of how I photograph you on your wedding day. Sioned & Sandy booked me last year to photograph their wedding at the amazing St.Donats Castle in South Wales. Their collection included an engagement shoot which is the perfect way to feel what it’s like to be photographed by me!
Sioned suggested the beach because her and Sandy go wild swimming and she wondered if I could take some photos of them running into the sea! ABSOLUTELY! Was my response to that!
A couple shoot should reflect the couple and this one did just that.
We met beforehand at Cobbles Cafe (if you’re local and haven’t been there yet you must go!) for a pre-wedding meeting to go over the details of their wedding day. Then we headed to Southerndown beach for the shoot. It was chilly but bright and although it rained on the drive to the beach the rain held off for the shoot!
We began the couple shoot by walking across the rocks and it was a beautiful day for it!
The light was beautiful which allowed for some lovely portraits! Along with portraits I like to take wider shots which show the surroundings and give a feel for the setting. And the beach is always a lovely setting…
On a couple shoot I want you to feel like we’re just going for a walk and having a chat as we go! I aim to make you feel at ease and it’s your reactions together that I’m looking for.
A couple shoot is about you as a couple, and about capturing your feelings and personality and I think this was definitely achieved with Sioned and Sandy’s shoot!
I loved photographing Sioned and Sandy because they laughed and smiled throughout and were completely themselves. They are going to be amazing to photograph on their wedding day and I can’t wait for it!
