The Pear Tree in Purton Wiltshire is one of the most gorgeous venues I’ve had the pleasure of shooting at. Georgia and Kyle tied the knot in a winter wedding in mid-December and it couldn’t have been more perfect!
The Pear tree has the beauty of various outside locations, combined with it’s stylish modern interior. It gives everything needed for the perfect wedding celebration.
Georgia and Kyle has styled the orangery beautifully with a lovely winters’ and Christmas feel. I loved the hand decorated baubles which were used as name places!
Georgia and Kyle met whilst working on a cruise ship, Georgia is a dancer and Kyle was a photographer taking photos of the guests! They quickly realised they couldn’t live apart and have now settled in the UK. Kyle is from South Africa and he had some friends and family fly over for the wedding at The Pear Tree but sadly his parents couldn’t make it due to the restrictions of Covid at the time. They did, however, fly to South Africa the following week for a second wedding at his home with his friends and family over there! How amazing!
The Couple Photographs
The grounds at The Pear Tree are stunning and perfect for a variety of different photographs. Being a winter wedding it was naturally cold but this didn’t stop Georgia and Kyle from getting their couple photos! We began at the back of the venue by the pergola after the group photos, then moved to the front of the venue where the front door had been adorned with winter greenery. The portraits taken here are some of my favourites! Shooting video on that day was Craig from Pristine Videography. We have worked on several weddings together now and he was great to share the day with. Team work is vital when working with other suppliers as we are documenting the same moments and what I captured in stills, Craig captured in film. The two then show a unified story of the day.
The Party!
The party took off brilliantly, with many friends of Georgia and Kyle being performers and incredibly talented, as well as being just plain fabulous! During the dancing, Kyle and some of the guests surprised Georgia with an incredible choreographed dance! She was moved to tears! I honestly had such an incredible time shooting this wedding and it really got me in the party mood for Christmas!
